Official Description

The artistic fun of the Art Academy series arrives on the Nintendo 3DS family of systems with real-world lessons, techniques and social features. From casual doodlers to experienced artists, people of any artistic skill level can enjoy dozens of tutorials on fundamental and advanced art concepts.

  • An in-game tutor named Vince provides more than 30 new lessons on a variety of artistic concepts and techniques, including portraiture and still life. Users will get art lessons and vivid demonstrations that bring the artistic process to life step by step. Steps within lessons can be repeated, skipped or paused for future completion.
  • Art Academy: Lessons for Everyone! provides a true art experience with lessons on how to use real life tools like sketch pencils, paints, even pastels and colored pencils. Intuitive touch-screen controls on Nintendo 3DS allow users to sketch with a pencil tip or shade with the side of the pencil. Colors can be blended on a palette or layered onto the virtual canvas one stroke at a time. Art skills learned from Art Academy: Lessons for Everyone! can easily be transferred to real life art materials.
  • New levels of social fun are added to the artistic process. Whether it's a work in progress or a finished masterpiece created in Free Paint mode, players can easily share their art with other players who own the game over a local wireless connection or with their Nintendo 3DS friends over SpotPass.
  • Users can create their own custom art lessons and share via the Nintendo 3DS system's built-in SpotPass feature or local wireless connection. SpotPass can also be configured to alert users when new downloadable lessons are available.
  • The game also makes use of the unique features of the Nintendo 3DS by letting them take 3D photos with the Nintendo 3DS camera, or borrow inspiration from more than 50 pre-loaded 3D photos, some of which have the option to let users see subjects in a new light with different angles and light sources.
