First released in 1998, Real Bout Fatal Fury 2: The Newcomers is the seventh installment in the Fatal Fury fighting game franchise. Based on the same game mechanics as previous installments, Real Bout Fatal Fury 2: The Newcomers boasts an evolved version of the two-line battle, as well as new features such as "Break Shot," a guard cancel system that is available for several moves. Also, when a character continues walking, its sway line accumulates. When a character is knocked down, players can expertly time the gauge and button action to get the character swiftly back on its feet. This time around, two newcomers have been introduced: the Kung-Fu master Li Xiang Fei and a boxer named Rick Strowd. Geese Howard reappears as a playable character. Choose from 22 fighters and test your might.
