OLD UPDATES

2012-03-30

So for whatever reason a few Sonic games have gone away in Japan. No more Sonic 1, Sonic 2, Sonic & Knuckles, or Sonic 1 SMS. On a brighter side, Spelunker is gonna be safe! Isn't that cool guys? Elsewhere, it looks like in America, 3D Classics Kid Icarus download codes are being sold through Gamestop. Since this is the method Nintendo is going with to make the game available to everyone here, I'm going to mark it as the public release date for America until a (hopefully) full-on eshop release happens.

Game Gear VC arrives in Japan and America! Meanwhile, the entire Irem library appears to be leaving Wii at the end of the month. So while you can, make sure you grab: R-Type, Super R-Type, R-Type 3, Spelunker, Legend of Hero Tonma, Ninja Spirit, and Vigilante.

Yikes! More VC Casualties to report: Bloody Wolf, Drop Off, and Silent Debuggers have been yanked off the NA Wii Shop, are going down with three other games tomorrow on JP Wii Shop, and are likely to be removed in Europe as well. Meanwhile Super R-Type and R-Type III are going down in Europe at the end of the month, as well as in Japan, and are likely to be removed in America as well. The VC Cemetery is getting crowded, but let's look forward to a bright future! Europe has a packed month ahead with Mega Man 5 & X, Super Street Fighter II (Genesis), Samurai Shodown IV, Strider, Metroid, Kid Icarus: Of Myths and Monsters, and Dr. Mario (Game Boy). That's a pretty good looking future there!

This day is one of awesometude. Rolling Western surprised launched today following the Nintendo Direct event, Game Gear will be debuting on 3DS VC next month, and courtesy the Euro PR we know we can expect Toki Tori and Metal Slug 3 as forthcoming VC releases. Exciting times are ahead!

I've also done some moving around, there's a new section in the Misc dedicated to 3DS Video Apps, so Netflix, Nintendo Video, and them are over there now. I've also decided to movie Four Swords Anniversary to Bonus Games as opposed to Removed Games given the promo nature of it. That's all for now!

2012-02-16

If you're in America and like using your Wii as a media playing device then good news! The Hulu Plus Channel is now available to download. Also that lovable Domo monster's DSiWare games are now able to transfer to or be purchased on a 3DS! If that wasn't enough, NES games debut on 3DS VC in America as well as the return of Wii VC over here, Wario Land shows up in Europe, and everybody gets a Snake Eater 3D demo! Good times were surely had by all today.

2012-02-14

I'm afraid there's been a VC casualty. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles for NES is no longer available anywhere. Konami couldn't (wouldn't?) renew the license. Good bye TMNT! You're controller-throwing difficulty will be missed...

2012-01-18

Tomorrow eshop demos will finally hit America and Europe lands with the big focus on Resident Evil Revelations. Also tomorrow, Europe will get a dual release of Prince of Persia on both the Wii and 3DS VC. This is exciting! This is what excites me!

2012-01-12

So today NoA uploaded all 50 WiiWare demos back on to the Wii Shop! All the way back to the ones from the first November 2009 batch. Was this a mistake? Will they be forever? No idea but it's a great time to try out some WiiWare titles you may have missed!

2011-12-22

The free Swapnote app for 3DS is now out in all regions! Also notable today is that the first NES game for 3DS VC was made public in Japan. The public release updates Ambassador copies to support save states, a full manual, and update the main menu icon. No more of that boring white block!

2011-12-14

Nintendo announced the full list of the GBA Ambassador games today! The full list is: F-Zero Maximum Velocity, Fire Emblem: The Sacred Stones, Kirby & the Amazing Mirror, The Legend of Zelda: The Minish Cap, Mario Kart: Super Circuit, Mario vs Donkey Kong, Metroid Fusion, Super Mario Advance 3: Yoshi's Island, Wario Land 4, and WarioWare: Mega Microgames! So far it looks like its going to be a worldwide release this Friday 12/16.

In an effort to increase the usefulness of this site, outside of frequently updating the database, I'm going to start updating this thing more with news. Like actual Nintendo Download news and not just generic site news. Probably something I should've done in the first place but hey, just something to help for a brighter future! I also got a Twitter for this site going that I'll update detailing new releases and with condensced news pieces.

2011-08-25

Oh hey! I've been pretty consistent getting the database updated but not so much the main blurb here. Anyway, just so I formally mention it the Coming Soon button was unlocked....a few months ago. But hey if you didn't notice before, you'll notice now! Also, I figure maybe it'll be nice if I get a forum finally so that's something to look forward to in a few weeks.

2011-06-07

3DS stuff is out so I've unlocked the button for public use! I'm still scrambling a bit to get information all checked out but it should work out pretty soon. The Newest Releases has also been updated for the new categories. As always I'll be working out any kinks as I go along.

2011-05-30

With the 3DS downloads coming soon, it seemed inevitable that a little redesign had to happen. There's still some tweaking to do (an M to represent Misc section? Really?!?) so I'll be ironing that stuff later on. If you have any other design tips, feel free to send me an e-mail! If you're confused about the calendar icon up there is, it's going to be a list of what to expect and the occasional dates whenever they show up. So stay tuned while I keep working to improve the usefulness of this place, and you can definitely expect me to jump all over 3DS downloads next week!

2011-05-13

Genre and Publisher filter options are now fully operational. I've also edited the Other filter to only find pages that have videos or screenshots. Basically anything you'd ever want to find, you'll be able to find it.

2011-05-12

June 6th launch for eShop! Right next to E3! That's a good time get excited. Or excitebiked. Both are proper emotions.

2011-05-08

Holy crap! Everything has a page now! Every game released in every region on every service! My initial goal of getting every game a page has been completed but LOTS of work remains to be done. MANY of these games still need info and media and the Genre and Publisher dropdown menus need some work done as well. Besides that though, if you just want to mess around, look at all the games, and use any of the filters, that's all fine and good! We are still without a date or a launch line-up for the eShop right now but I'll definitely be updating this site to accomodate for all the fun stuff that'll bring us. Stay tuned!

2011-05-07

All the WiiWare games in Japan are now in. There's a total of 397 WiiWare games between all regions! Going through the list even got 3 more Removed Games for the pile.

2011-05-06

All the VC games in Japan are now in. There's a total of 673 VC games between all regions!

2011-05-02

Everything with a US release date is now up. As of today's releases that makes 1042 games!

2011-04-26

I think I can safely say that this is probably the best place on the Internet to see what's digitally available on Nintendo platforms in South Korea.
